Team Bharat invited for 2nd Oil Ministry meeting on E20

What is upcoming? Team Bharat said on 3 August 2026 that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas invited it for a second meeting within the next three to four days — roughly mid-week around 6–7 August, subject to the ministry’s final schedule.

What will they discuss? According to the group, the focus is consumer choice at pumps, fuel pricing (including whether E20 should cost less if mileage falls), transparency, and how E20 is being implemented in practice.

Context: This follows an earlier multi-hour meeting with Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on 29 July. Team Bharat has framed the new invite as continued dialogue — not a final settlement of demands.

Poonawalla’s line (as reported): He said the talks are specifically on choice and pricing, thanked the minister for engaging, and stressed dialogue over disruption. He also alleged house arrest on 1 August before a solo protest — a separate police claim the group has put on record.
