What is real, what is rhetorical, and why the difference matters less than you might think — but we still wrote it down, because lawyers sleep better that way.
This is not a registered political party
This website presents E20 Janta Party (EJP) as a satirical citizens' movement about India's E20 ethanol-blended petrol policy. It is not a political party registered with the Election Commission of India. It does not field candidates, does not solicit votes, and does not collect election funds.
Nothing published here is an official statement of any government, political party, oil marketing company, or automobile manufacturer. Membership cards, titles, ranks, and member numbers on this site are symbolic participation on this website only — they enrol you in nothing and confer no standing with any organisation.
There are multiple social accounts using similar names. This site is an independent satirical / consumer-awareness project inspired by the public E20 fuel-choice debate and by the digital-protest format popularised by the Cockroach Janta Party. It is not maintained by Abhijeet Dipke, CJP spokespersons, or anyone authorised to speak for CJP. Instagram @e20_jantaparty is a third-party reference only and is not operated by this website.
Compliance with Indian law
This website is intended to comply with applicable Indian law. We do not solicit votes, collect election funds, or impersonate a registered political party. Community content (if any) is moderated; unlawful material is removed.
- Constitution of India. Editorial and satirical content is published as commentary protected under Article 19(1)(a), subject to the reasonable restrictions in Article 19(2). We do not publish content that incites violence, promotes hatred, or is obscene beyond the scope of fair comment.
- Information Technology Act, 2000. We act as an intermediary for any user-generated content we may host. Unlawful content is removed on notice or when identified.
- IT Rules, 2021 (Intermediary Guidelines). Grievance contact: e20jantaparty@proton.me with GRIEVANCE in the subject line. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 15 days.
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Personal data is processed on lawful bases set out in the Privacy Policy.
- Representation of the People Act, 1951 & ECI norms. This site is not a registered political party, does not field candidates, and does not accept political or election contributions.
- Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Any voluntary support described on this site (if introduced later) will be described accurately. Misleading claims about what a payment buys are not permitted.
This is, in part, a work of satire
E20 Janta Party is presented as a political party. It uses the visual language, the manifesto format, the slogan structure, and the ceremonial seriousness of a political party because that is the most precise vehicle available for the commentary we want to make. The aesthetic is sincere. The format is sincere. The hyperbole, when it appears, is hyperbole.
If you arrived here believing this is a registered electoral organisation with a building, a treasurer, and a number on the ballot, you may be slightly disappointed. If you arrived looking for political writing that takes consumer rights seriously, you are in the right place.
What is genuinely sincere
- The five demands. Fuel choice (E0 alongside E20/E85), fair pricing, transparent labelling, public data, and independent studies / accountability — these are actual policy positions this site advocates.
- The analysis. Essays and timeline items that cite specific public incidents are written with the intent to inform, not to mislead. Percentage claims (e.g. LocalCircles June 2026 mileage / wear figures) and reported court coverage (e.g. Raipur consumer forum) are attributed on the home-page Sources section with links. We do not invent survey percentages.
- The tone. The movement voice is sharp, opinionated, and confrontational. That is the register; we mean it.
- Not anti-ethanol as a concept. The grievance is forced single-option retail fuel and the lack of informed consumer choice — not the existence of ethanol blending as a policy tool.
What is satirical
- Organisational claims. "HQ wherever the petrol pump has wifi" and ceremonial "party" language are satirical packaging. There is no salaried staff, no ECI registration, no Davos trip.
- Rhetorical flourishes. LIVE tickers and manifesto formatting are part of the campaign aesthetic. They do not refer to actual licences, print editions, or a registered electoral organisation.
On naming public figures
Essays and demands may name specific living individuals — including Union ministers and other public officials — performing public functions. These references are commentary in the context of editorial criticism. They are intended to be factually grounded and protected as fair comment under Indian media-law norms.

On the fuel metaphor
We use E20 / E0 / the petrol pump as symbols of consumer powerlessness and resilience. We do not endorse vandalism, violence, or unlawful disruption of fuel infrastructure. Protest, if any, must remain peaceful and within constitutional rights.
Bottom line
Read the site as you would read Private Eye, The Onion, or any publication where serious analysis arrives wrapped in a format that makes the analysis tolerable. The seriousness is the point. The wrapper is the gift.
